Howard S. Toland

Howard S. Toland is a partner at Cohn & Dussi, based in the firm’s Florida office.

Howard brings extensive experience as a commercial trial lawyer. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, banking and security-related matters, secured transactions, and creditors’ rights.

He is admitted to practice in Florida and multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Before joining Cohn & Dussi, Howard practiced at Mitrani Rynor Adamsky & Toland, where he represented creditors and financial institutions in complex commercial disputes.

Howard earned his B.S. from George Washington University, his M.B.A. from Drexel University, and his J.D. cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. While in law school, he served on Law Review and received several academic distinctions.

Howard is active in a number of legal and industry organizations, including the Equipment Lease and Finance Association, the Broward County Bar Association, the Steering Committee for the Lease Enforcement Attorney Network (LEAN), and the Board of Directors of the Nova Southeastern Law Center Alumni Association.
