Richard E. Alpert is Of Counsel at Cohn & Dussi, LLC where he co-heads
the firm’s Personal Injury department and heads the firm’s growing
Probate and Estate Department. In addition since 1989, he has also
been involved with litigation in many areas including complex
construction, entertainment (television production and music
contracts) and other business related matters in the State and Federal
Courts.
Mr. Alpert has represented hundreds of injured individuals who have
retained him to protect and advocate for them in the most aggressive
manner possible. Mr. Alpert has developed a special expertise in the
representation of clients who seek unique solutions to the disposition
of their assets in relation to their estate planning needs. This
unique experience has proven to be of beneficial interest to Mr.
Alpert’s clients who have sought counsel and advice on the best ways
to protect the monetary proceeds they receive as a result of personal
injury settlements and verdicts.
Mr. Alpert received a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law and a
B.S.B.A. degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from
Boston University’s School of Management. Mr. Alpert is admitted to
practice in the state courts of Massachusetts and Florida as well as
the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and
the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
In addition, Mr. Alpert is a board member at Joslyn Diabetes Center’s
Committee for Human Studies and is an member of the Massachusetts
Academy of Trial Attorneys.
Mr. Alpert is proud of his comprehensive knowledge in his specialized
areas of personal injury litigation, music and television
